EL ZAHIR
This digital-vector illustration is based on the short story "El Zahir" included in the book "El Aleph" by Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges. In this I wanted to illustrate the fateful moment when an anonymous character falls into the spell of the Zahir (which takes the form of a strange shadow clock) for the first time. The image attempts to evoke the smell of wet pavement through the allegory of rain; creating a scene of tangible melancholy and loneliness in an imposing unknown place.
